We haven’t had a big family day out in ages, so decided this morning we were going to head off for the day and do something fun. When we looked at some of the prices of the well known Bristol kiddie places, we realised that it could end up being a bit of an expensive outing, so we looked further afield and decided upon Puxton Park near Weston-Super-Mare. What a good choice – entrance fee was under a fiver and we had a great old time, despite the cold weather.
The Park has loads of outdoor attractions and a range of animals to see, our big boy was particularly taken with these cute kids (billy goats gruff is a current favourite story).
Our big boy also got the chance to have some hands on experiences with the animals, stroking these sweet ponies and the highlight was getting to hold one of the lambs while it was being fed!
I loved spending time in the fantastic farm shop afterwards, stocking up on some local Somerset goodies – cheese, cake and of course my husband had to get some cider! We also had a good chance to snoop round some villages on the way home, more ideas for our big move in the Summer. All in all, a great family day out!

What a lovely day out! I bet you got some scrumptious food (and drink!)!
yes, i love discovering new places to go!
